Fusilier Reeffusilier_reef-neglecta-070630-051

Our newly discovered reef, first dived on by Colin, Garth, Matthew, Brian and Johan on June 15, 2007. Depth: 20m

Discovered by John Matambu while out fishing. He was attracted to the area by all the Fusiliers swimming on the surface and picked up the reef on his depth finder. This smallish reef near the 5-Mile complex has lots of beautiful structure with ledges, alcoves and crevasses. It has an abundance of plate corals and small shoals of Snappers and Zebras. On every dive therfusilier_reef-neglecta-070630-052e is a full kaleidoscope of Fusiliers, both Neon and Yellowback.fusilier_Bikini--others-070607-015

On the first dive on this reef we found a brand new Nudibranch which will feature in the next newsletter. On our second dive there we had a Manta giving a wonderful show.

There are still lots of beautiful areas to be explored!
