Hop Scotch

Maximum depth: 26 m.

This dive site is on the outside edge of Bikini, and often we get sightings of some rather unusual creatures. It is a very flat reef, like Bikini, so the visit is more for the creatures we find than for the topography.

We like to start this dive on the very northern tip of Bikini, where occasionally we will find the rare Sea Moth (Eurypegasus draconis, left).

We then will move slowly into deeper water, and oftenl come across a Ribbon Eel, who also likes to hang around here(right).

This reef is also home to some rather unusual nudibranchs.

Because of the depth of this dive, we need to be careful we don’t go into deco, and we are often visited by a Manta on our safety stop, which we like to extend for as long as possible for that reason.
