Inner Staghorn
Depth: 10 m average
This dive site is approximately 50 m south of Pinnacles (northern to central part of 2-Mile Reef) and consists of a beautiful bed of Staghorn Coral.
This Coral is extremely fragile and is home to a variety of interesting creatures. Amongst these creatures is the fascinating little Damsel that has been named Chocolate Dip because of its appearance (he looks like his head has been dipped in chocolate).
In a sand gully just slightly north of the Staghorn garden we will occasionally find a Blue-barre
d Parrot Fish.

One of Colin’s favourite photographs is the one of the Dragon Moray, found hiding in amongst the Coral. This picture was taken about 3 years ago, and we keep visiting the place in the hope to find him again. We haven’t seen him since!
From Inner Staghorn the route can either move on to 4-Buoy which is slightly east, or continue down south to Caves and Overhangs.
