Diversity Dunes
Depth: 12 m on the sand, 8 m on the top of the reef

The reason why we call this dive site ‘Diversity Dune’ is because of the diversity of the fish life. Also, the basic structure which all our coral at
This section on the reef is on our route from Pinnacles to 4-Buoy and is an area where we can spend a huge amount of time because of the variety of the fish life. We counted up to 50 different species of fish on this part of 2-Mile. We get a lot of fun out of watching our photographers trying to get the perfect picture, as they don’t know where to turn and which
fish to capture first.

The highlight is: we are almost guaranteed to find the rare Bridle Parrotfish (left), which we hardly see anywhere else.
Other fish often in attendance are the Yellow-edged Lyretail (right) and Blue-banded Snappers as well as both female and male bird wrasses. Occasionally a turtle will come past and add to the interest.
