Pinnacles

Pinnacles_4-bouy-Bikin-051028-011

This dive site is in the north-western section of 2-Mile Reef.

This site is named after the pinnacles rising up from the sand at 12 m to about 6 m below the surface. White Tip Reef sharks and turtles together with Honeycomb morays often vie with each other for occupation of some of the small overhangs and caves found in this area.

Slightly north of Pinnacles is another cave in which we quite often will find a Loggerhead Turtle sleeping. The structure between the Old Woman Pinnacle (see picture on the left) and the caves is a collection of very large rocks, standing on bare sand with beautiful overhangs under which numerous fish are hiding.

Also, above the rocks, are numerous shoals of Snappers, Zebras and Coachmen.
