Chain
Maximum depth: 17m, average depth 14 m.
This dive site is on the seaward side of the southern tip of 2-mile. It is named after an old ship anchor chain, which in the early days of diving could be seen lying across the reef, but now has got totally encrusted by coral and sponges.
Turtles are often seen on this reef, and the structures of sandstone covered with coral are very spectacular. There is a small swim-through just next to a huge gulley, in which we have seen a huge Loggerhead turtle often sleeping, at a different time a very big Nurse Shark, at least 3 m long.
